Public Health England (PHE). He implies that the United Kingdom has had more
COVID-19 deaths than France or Spain has recorded.
The United Kingdom currently has the
second-highest confirmed death rate in Europe from the novel coronavirus
pandemic on Wednesday, according to updated estimates affecting deaths in all
environments, including in nursing homes.
The high death rate increases the
pressure on Prime Minister Boris Johnson's administration, which is being
criticized by the opposition for being too late to implement a shutdown and to
undertake compulsory monitoring.
